About This Blog

CCP LauraLuntz020

Welcome to my blog!  My name is Laura and I would love for you to join me...

Beginning October 1, 2010, I am going to go through the book Light on Yoga by B.K.S. Iyengar to study each of the poses.  200 poses, 365 days.

Why?  First of all, the idea came from the movie Julie & Julia which really inspired me.  In the movie (a true story), a women decided to cook her way through Julia Child's first cookbook in one year.  She did it for herself, to give her something that was all hers.  I am in a place in my life where I need and want to have that "something" as well.

Second, I am learning more about self-care; how to do more for myself to take care of myself.  I know yoga is my avenue to taking much better care of myself.  I have been practicing and teaching yoga for over 20 years.  But I had my first baby 10 years ago and my deeper practice took a back seat to my parenting.  My youngest is now almost 7, it is time to bring it back.  I am ready to take my body to new places, to push myself and feel the exhilaration of going deeper, to feel the shift in consciousness that comes with those deeper places...

I would love company!  Would you like to join me?  One of my students decided to come along for the ride.  You can read about her journey on her blog:  http://onthesilverpath.blogspot.com/
