There are 200 poses in Mr. Iyengar's book Light on Yoga. There are 40 that are beyond my physical capability (so far! :-) ) I am not going to do the poses in any particular order. I plan on doing 6 asana practices a week: hip openers, back bends, shoulders/core, forward folds, twists, plus one restorative. Not only will I be doing the poses, I am going to read what Mr. Iyengar has to say about them. I am realizing just how little of this book I have actually read! (Which makes me wonder why my book is so worn out!) I am finding his insights intriguing and I look forward to researching it more.
