This week we talked about knowing your values as a step toward being authentic. What are your values? Here is a way to figure them out. Click here to get a copy of the values Marya and I use in our workshops. Print it out and cut them into squares. Now go through the stack several times, eliminating values that don't fit for you. The first time through, eliminate half of them. Then eliminate half again. Keep going through until you have between 4 and 10 left. As you go through, ask yourself:
1. Which ones resonate with me: Of course, they will all resonate, they are great! You do need to narrow it down so pick those that are most resonant.
2. Which ones help me feel more myself?
3. Ask those who know you best. What do they know is important to you?
3. Which ones can I not imagine my life without? Okay, this one is a tricky one. Use this one only as a last resort because you can trick yourself into believing all of them. "I can't imagine my not having my health/family/love." You really need to dig deep to ask this question. Yes, we love having our health, but is it what makes you who you are? Maybe and maybe not.
We want to hear what you discover!

Thank you so much for offering this exersize! I've be wondering how to encapsulize my values - Infinite Love and Gratitude!
