monday morning musing: It is time to dream

It is time to dream.

Let's keep going preparing for the new year and creating resolutions that are truly transformational.  Now you need to let yourself dream.  What do you really, really, really want?  Have you ever let yourself dream?  What gets you excited?  What would you like to be, do, or have if anything was possible?  A goal needs to be high enough to get yourself excited. "The greater danger for most of you lies not in setting your aim too high and falling short; but in setting your aim too low, and achieving your mark." (Michelangelo)  This year is your year...it is time to aim high!  Set your sights on your Extraordinary Life and nothing else.  What do you really want?

Third Assignment:  Give yourself time to dream today, even for a few minutes.  (It can be a lovely way to use commuting time!)  What makes you feel good?  What have you always wanted to do?  What part of your life could use some loving attention to make some changes?

It is only you.

It is only you...

• Who can make changes in your life.
• Who can help you feel good.

Second Assignment:  What parts of your life feel out of your control?  (By the way, feeling out of control sounds like, "If only...then I would..."  So, "If only my husband wouldn't...then I would be happy."  "If only my job wasn't so...then I would be relaxed."  When you say "If only..." you feel out of control.)  What would it feel like to have those areas in your control?  What would it look like?

You known, I think about all of you all week.  I think about how I can inspire you, what I can say that will fill your heart and send you out into the world sharing love and compassion with everyone you touch.  I usually wake up on Thursday, the day I post the following monday's musing, with my burst of inspiration.  I never write these posts ahead of time.  My Thursday inspiration is for all of you.  I know I am receiving the message you all need to hear. 

Having said that, this week's Feel Good Moment is for all of you.  I want you to know I genuinely love and appreciate you all.  Thank you for reading, thank you for taking the time to feel good so you can share more love with the world.  You are in my heart. So, here is my wish for you:

I can.  I can.  I CAN.  I CAN!  I CAN!

Did you read the musing?  Did you read it with the inflection I wrote?  Read it again.  I'll wait...Feels good, doesn't it?  Words are empowering and, as far as words go, these two are some of the best.  Where in your life are you struggling?  Think about it.  Now look at yourself in the eyes in a mirror and repeat after me...

Where there is a will, there IS a way.  And sometimes that way is a downright miracle.  All you have to do is to begin with the thought, "I can!" Enjoy!

monday morning musing: are you ready for a miracle?

Mmmm...yummy thought, eh?  On Thursday, I set off a flurry of discussion on my Facebook page when I posted: "Positioning myself for a miracle...what about you?"  Much discussion ensued, including what a miracles is, whether one must "position" themselves for it, and then this comment above. 

"All things are possible..."  Many of us (I hope) when asked directly, would say that we believe in miracles (or, that all things are possible).  But I think we lose sight of them in our own lives or, at least, I did.  What I was referring to on that day was a situation in my life that was causing a tremendous amount of fear for me.  I realized I didn't believe a miracle would happen and I was scared.  When I "positioned" myself, I released my fear and I put myself in God's/Universe' hands.  I asked for help and let go.  I now believe ALL things are possible -- even for me in an area in which I have fear.  Where in your life do you need a miracle?  Do you believe it will happen for you?

Hope: a feeling or expectation for something wonderful to happen.  Kind of like a child (or an adult!) on Christmas morning... Can it get any better than that?  Hope feels good; it is full of love and curiosity.  It is full of genuine excitement.  What if you KNEW something wonderful was going to happen today?  Because something wonderful happens every day.  Could it be the next email?  The next phone call?  Maybe it will be something your spouse or child says to you.  Your hope achieves the impossible.  Let your hope be strong and ready to bring in a miracle!
