define myself as a teacher. I constantly return to the inspirational notes

Musélan’s Yoga Teacher Training program begins with the experience and knowledge of Laura Erdman-Luntz, E-RYT(500), a yoga teacher with over 20 years of experience, an education in exercise physiology and a life-long passion for yoga. Nine other educators round out the staff assuring that there is a variety of experience and expertise in not only yoga and yoga philosophy, but other related disciplines.
In this unique training program, you will enjoy:
Small groups are the best learning environments for your training. Just like this ancient practice used to be handed down from guru to student, so is this program done in small intimate groups. - Intimate group size (no more than 12 in the group!)
- Personal interaction with lead trainers
- Individual coaching and support

Module System: The program is taught in 4 modules (Water, Fire, Air, Earth). Each module is either a 3-month period in the year-long program (in Minnesota at Yoga Prairie in Eden Prairie) or one week on the International Retreat Option. You can complete the modules in any of the programs and in any order. In other words, you can do one of the modules in Costa Rica and then the rest at Yoga Prairie.
WATER MODULE: Foot and Knee anatomy, getting you started (or going more deeply) into your asana home practice, meditation, and basic breathing. We will also do an intensive on assisting and adjusting your students.
FIRE MODULE: Anatomy of the hip, special populations, feminine cycles, the core, and deeper pranayama. We will also discuss ways to "Wake Up" our students with compassion and kindness.
AIR MODULE: The fascinating spine with a special focus on neck issues. We will study shoulder balance and head stand as well as Savasana.
EARTH MODULE: The anatomy portion will be the shoulder joint. We will also discuss meditation, intuitive teaching, and how to teach restorative yoga. Our self-study for the week will be focused on the chakras and ethical challenges in our teaching. We will also discuss how to stay inspired in your practice and in your teaching.
Throughout all the modules, we will immerse ourselves in self-study around the Sutras, Yamas and Niyamas, and the Chakras.
