Here's to forgetting you can't.
So, here's a fabulous quote from one of my yoga students, "I finally did Chatarunga when I forgot I couldn't!" I LOVE that thought. We limit ourselves by what we think we can (or can't) do. So, what in your life do you need to forget that you can't do? (Did I mention that this student is a spunky, 70-something year old? NEVER tell me you are too old to learn!) (Also, the photo is the pose she did -- yep, she is pretty amazing!)
She made another fabulous comment just last week I want to share. Read the comments to find it.

What a fabulous message! I love this one. Enjoy!
So, my student recently had a knee-replacement. As she came up the steps to class this week she exclaimed, "Look what I can do that I couldn't to yesterday!" She was coming up the steps alternating legs rather than one step at a time. I was excited with her and asked her what she had done to make such a dramatic improvement overnight. She shrugged and said, "or, I could do it yesterday, I just didn't think to try."
So, what are you not thinking of trying simply because you used to not be able to do it?

The idea remains the same, but what I was able to do was walk up the stairs one foot on each step at a time without using the railing. The railing had been my crutch.
And I am a spunky 69 year old!
